| Tracey Gersten is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice office in San Francisco, California. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She also earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School and was a practicing attorney for five years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) from Michigan State University's James Madison College. |
| Tracey's private psychotherapy practice focuses on helping others enjoy more satisfying and meaningful lives and relationships. She works with individual adults, couples, parents and teens. Her private work covers a wide range of presenting issues, and she draws from an eclectic and varied array of orientations in serving her clients. |
| In addition to her private practice, Tracey has provided counseling and parent education in several public and private schools, including Brandeis-Hillel Day School in San Francisco, San Andreas High School in Larkspur, Mill Valley Middle School in Mill Valley, and Hill Middle School in Novato. She was affiliated for many years with New Perspectives of Marin and was Program Director of their Youth Substance Abuse Program (YSAP), a mandatory psycho-educational group for Marin teens who had become involved with the juvenile probation system. |
| Tracey is a regular speaker on drug and alcohol issues for Parent University, an annual event sponsored by the Marin County Office of Education. Tracey also provides parent and teen education for various school districts, independent schools and other organizations throughout the Bay Area in the form of speaking engagements and workshops. |
